KIRKLINGTON HALL WORKS

This project involved a mix of new build and historic Grade 2 listed building refurbishments to provide a bespoke residential school for children with challenging behaviour all set within a mature landscaped 18 acre site.

 

Main elements fo work on the scheme:

 

  • Discharging extensive planning and listed building consent conditions
  • Discharging a section 106 agreement relative to the items below:
  • Full envelope refurbishment to the Grade 2 listed hall
  • Rebuilding of an ornate Grade 2 listed ha-ha
  • Refurbishment of the old brick boundary wall to the walled garden
  • Extensive rebuilding to the 3 Grade 2 listed game lodges including new oak frames and thatched roofs
  • Refurbishment and alteration (both internally and externally) of the Grade 2 listed hall into a school, teaching accommodation and full dining facilities
  • Refurbishment and extension of the old bothy to provide accommodation for the headteacher and her family
  • New build accommodation block for the students
  • New car park
  • Refurbishment (in part) of the old workshop
  • Refurbishment (in part) of the existing sports hall
  • Extensive external soft and hard landscaping along with new site wide services including a new electrical substation
