New Retail Scheme Secured

Jessops Construction has secured the contract to construct a new supermarket in Chard, Somerset.
The food store will be for end-user Lidl and approximately 23,000sqft in size. It will include structured landscaping and a 114 vehicle car-park.
This project will build on the Jessops' extensive retail portfolio, having successfully completed a number of large schemes nationally, within this sector recently.
The construction of the food store will be undertaken on behalf of long-standing clients, Quora, who the firm has worked with on a variety of projects for nearly a decade. This will be the first Lidl food store to be constructed by the firm who have previously completed stores for well-known brands including Aldi, Tesco and Sainsbury's.
As with all of their projects, Jessops Construction is committed to communities close to their sites and where possible the firm will source local sub-contractors and labourers. The site will also be registered with the Considerate Constructor's scheme, an independent organisation working to improve the image of the construction industry.
Works on site are due to commence in mid-September and will run for approximately 43 weeks when they will hand the facility over to internal fit-out teams.
