Jessops Completes in Hull

Jessops Construction Ltd. have completed works and handed over to Aldi fit-out teams in the East Yorkshire village of Cottingham. Based on the former University of Hull student accommodation buildings, the project consisted of the construction of a 19, 000 sq. ft. Aldi supermarket. This scheme marked the tenth Aldi that the firm has constructed to date.

The project included demolition, site clearance and construction of the Aldi unit with associated external works.

The Aldi unit is a steel framed building and is cladded with composite panels and shopfront glazing. External works included the provision of car parking spaces both in tarmacadam and permeable block paving.

Despite its challenges, Jessops Construction have delivered a supermarket complementing Cottingham's existing retail provision.
